Job summary

City of Rocky Mount seeks an Applications Analyst to provide upper-level support and administration for a range of City software applications including Utility Billing, Tyler Cashiering, and MUNIS. The role involves creating reports, testing, and training end users across departments, reporting to the IT Project Manager.

Position may be filled as Applications Analyst I, II, or III depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of information technology principles, concepts, and methods.
• Knowledge of server and client operating systems.
• Knowledge of database administration.

Responsibilities

• Provides upper-level technical support for a wide variety of City applications throughout the Departments & Divisions.
• Works with other Technology Services staff to ensure proper integration and testing during version upgrades.
• Collaborates with other TS staff and assists in vetting new software or system changes for city-wide deployment.
