Job summary

NBT Bank is seeking a Systems Analyst I to support business units by analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and defining requirements for workflow enhancements. You will deliver end-user support and develop test plans while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate's degree with 2 years of systems experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with at least 1 year at Systems Analyst I level.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 2 years systems experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience at a level of proficiency equal to a Systems Analyst I.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system issues to determine business impact, corrective action, and contingency actions.
• Identify and define business requirements by consulting with users; develop system requirements and workflow impacts.
• Undertake or supervise development of programs, queries, or extracts; ensure change management standards.
• Develop plans for testing; perform testing and validation; guide user acceptance testing.
• Manage projects of small to moderate size/scope/complexity; assign and manage tasks; prepare documentation.
• As team lead or project manager, evaluate new software solutions; prepare RFPs and feasibility analyses.
• Train business trainers in new functions or processes.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff; perform other duties as required.
