Job summary

Constellation Technologies, Inc. seeks a highly qualified SA/System Engineer to support DoD-related IT infrastructure with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent SA experience, plus extensive experience across lifecycle stages of engineering systems. Responsibilities include Tier 1/2 help desk, system configuration, troubleshooting, and security tooling such as ELK, Tripwire, VMware, and SELinux.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required or five (5) years of SA experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience as an SA in programs of similar scope, type and complexity at Level 2 (10 years) is required.
• Infrastructure experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security tools and reporting tools.
• Experience with ELK, Tripwire, VMware, and RedHat SELinux security tool suite.
• Must provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for IT systems and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems and assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Coordinate escalation and communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations, resources, and perform capacity analysis and planning.

Job description

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position. Required: * Must be a US Citizen.

• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (05) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. * Relevant experience must be in engineering systems over their lifecycle (for example, conception, design & development, testing, production, distribution/deployment, operation, maintenance & support, decommissioning).
• Level 2 - Ten (10) years of experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. * Infrastructure experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security (container security, virtual machine security, security boundary enforcement), configuration, and reporting tools. • Experience with the following tools: ELK, Tripwire, VMware, RedHat SELinux security tool suite Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems * Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems * Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems * Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems * Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. * Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers * Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning * Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems * Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets * Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance $100,000 - $200,000 a year The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
