Job summary

Constellation Technologies, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Systems Administrator in Maryland to support federal contract requirements. You will manage Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, virtualization and security best practices while collaborating with developers, testers, and engineers.

The role requires US citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph, plus 8–14 years of direct experience. Travel and lifting up to 50 lbs may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen with TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph.
• 8–14 years direct/relevant systems administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience supporting end users and technical staff (developers, testers, engineers).
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory.
• Experience with deployment, patches, OS management, backups and restores.
• Familiar with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, Nessus.
• Knowledge of Red Hat and VMware; strong information security understanding.
• Ability to support Client/Server virtualization and hardware reimaging.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to end users and technical staff, including troubleshooting.
• Manage software/hardware deployment, patching, OS updates, backups and restores.
• Maintain security posture in line with information security principles and standards.
• Support virtualization environments (client and server) and documentation.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Required:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• At least eight (08) to fourteen (14) years of direct/relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in technical field such as System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Must have experience as a systems administrator providing direct support to end users and technical staff (developers, testers, engineers, etc.).
• Must be proficient with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory.
• Must have experience with software/hardware deployment, patches, operating systems, and basic system backup and restore functions.
• Must have experience with/be familiar with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, Nessus.
• Must have experience with and/or have knowledge of Red Hat and VMWare.
• Must have a solid understanding of advanced security protocols and standards.
• Must have experience with both Client and Server virtualization environments.
• Must have experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and reimaging hardware.
• Must have a solid understanding of information security principles and practices.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to support occasional day or short duration travel.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Proficiency with SQL Server.
• SALT and Python scripting experience.
• Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment.
• Experience working in an Agile Development Environment or on an Agile Team.
• Knowledge of PKI systems which use HSMs to validate key and NTP for synchronization.
• Knowledge of PowerShell and PowerCLI.
• Experience in documenting and providing information for security accreditation and certification.

$172,000 - $210,000 a year

The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
