Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited university; 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Windows Server and Linux environments, plus Oracle and related technologies.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, permissions, and storage management.
• Ability to read and follow complex software and deployment instructions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily system administration and maintenance for physical and virtual environments.
• Manage IT server infrastructure and hosted systems (AD, permissions, storage, GPO).
• Support first-tier staff with troubleshooting for software, apps and databases.
• Resolve hardware/software issues for end users, focusing on server-related problems.
• Administer Omnissa/VMware platforms and related technologies across the site.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors to analyze and resolve issues.
• Recommend hardware/software solutions to meet IT needs.
• Support Cyber Security compliance and audit preparation with the security team.
• Consult with internal departments to align objectives with operations and projects.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and best practices for incident resolution.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities and communicate via Teams, email, and phone.
