Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to independently support the Portsmouth (Piketon, Ohio) site. The role involves managing both physical and virtual IT environments, with emphasis on server infrastructure, Active Directory, and security compliance.

You will work within an IT team delivering design, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the infrastructure. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree with 2-6 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Perform daily system administration in a physical and virtual environment.
Provide primary support and management of the IT server infrastructure focusing on Active Directory, permissions, storage, and Group Policy.
Support first-tier staff with troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access.
Analyze and resolve hardware and software problems for end users, with emphasis on server-related issues.
Administer Omnissa/VMware platforms across the site and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues.
Remediate security vulnerabilities and support Cyber Security compliance and audit preparation.
Document best practices, technical guides, and support procedures; interact with cross-functional teams.
