Leidos is seeking a Systems Administrator to independently manage IT infrastructure at the DOE Portsmouth (Piketon, Ohio) site. You will maintain physical and virtual environments, primarily focusing on Active Directory, storage, and group policies, while supporting security compliance and cross-team collaboration.

The role requires a BA/BS in CS/IT or related experience, DOE Q clearance eligibility, and strong problem-solving and communication skills suitable for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited university.
• 2+ years of related experience; additional years may substitute for degree.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.
• Must be detail-oriented with exceptional analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Windows Server/Oracle/Linux operating systems and related networks.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily system administration, operation and maintenance for a physical and virtual environment.
• Manage IT server infrastructure and hosted systems focusing on Active Directory, permissions, storage, and Group Policy.
• Support first-tier staff with troubleshooting for software tools, applications, databases, and system access.
• Analyze and resolve hardware and software problems for end users, prioritizing server-related issues.
• Support Omnissa/VMware platforms across the site and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions.
• Define and document best practices, technical guides and support procedures; create clear incident resolution documentation.
