Job summary

HII - Mission Technologies seeks a Systems Administrator to support a multinational capability connecting national Secret networks for enhanced information sharing among partner nations from Fort Meade, MD. The role emphasizes system administration across IT hardware, software, and network interconnects.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience, hold an active Secret clearance, US citizenship, and relevant certifications; ServiceNow experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• US Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network admins.
• Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system docs, tunes performance, installs system-wide software, allocates storage.
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Recommends hardware/software purchases, coordinates installation, provides backups and recovery.
• Develops and monitors policies for allocation of computing resources.
• Installs, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains IT hardware, software, wiring, and systems; documents issues.
• Keeps up-to-date on network hardware and software interconnections (routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways).
• Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities.
