Job summary

BranCore Technologies, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator in Staunton, VA for an 8-month contract. The role requires 3–5 years of experience in system administration, with hands-on work on Linux/Windows servers, AD, virtualization, backups, and cybersecurity.

You will handle Tier 1–3 support, maintain documentation, and ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure. The candidate should possess strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and collaborate

Qualifications

• Configures and deploys Linux/Windows servers.
• Desktop/Laptop/Server hardware experience (5 years).
• Experience with Active Directory Administration (5 years).
• Virtualization/VMware experience (5 years).
• Backup and Recovery experience (5 years).
• Help Desk Support experience (5 years).
• Customer Service experience (5 years).
• Cybersecurity knowledge is highly desired (2 years).
• Hands-on with network equipment (3 years).
• Video Management Systems experience (2 years).
• Microsoft certifications are a plus.
• Audio-Video support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responds to all levels of support requests from Tier 1–3.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Configures and deploys new/replacement Linux and Windows servers.
• Maintains up-to-date project and architecture documentation.
• Maintains up-to-date inventory and maintenance records.
• Monitors system resources and performs backups and recovery.
• Supports cybersecurity controls and threat hunting.
