Job summary

Iron Bow Technologies is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support a Federal client in the DC Metro area. You will manage a mixed Windows/Linux server environment (~200 servers), provide virtualization/storage support, ensure backups and DR readiness, and participate in change management with on-site engagement.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in virtualized environments, strong Linux/Windows server experience, and relevant certifications (VMware, MCSE, Network+/A+).

Qualifications

• 5 years of system administration in a virtualized environment
• Solid Linux and Windows Server experience
• Experience supporting federal contracts onsite
• Certifications: VMware, MCSE, Network+/A+
• Experience with storage, backup, and disaster recovery

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site System Administrator/Virtualization Storage and Network support for the Federal client in DC Metro area
• Manage 200 Windows and Linux servers with backup, recovery, and tape library operations
• Participate in Change Boards and ITSM tasks with progress updates
• Provide 24x7 on-call support (1 week per month)
• Maintain Gold Image updates using MS MDT and ensure regular system checks
