Job summary

FIS is seeking a Systems Administrator in New York, NY to maintain and support critical server and end-user infrastructure across Windows, virtualization, cloud and application environments. You will troubleshoot complex issues, deploy technologies, and help ensure secure, stable systems on-site Monday–Friday.

The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams, incident management, and adherence to ITIL processes. On-site work in New York, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server administration, VMware virtualization, Active Directory, Exchange and end-user systems, with strong troubleshooting skills across multiple technologies.
• Experience using PowerShell for infrastructure administration and working with server hardware, hypervisors or VMware ESXi.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, SMTP, LDAP, DNS and network monitoring, along with experience installing, deploying and supporting multi-tier applications.
• Experience working with service-level agreements, change management processes and ITIL practices, plus familiarity with application deployment tools such as BigFix, Microsoft Configuration Manager or similar technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer focus and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively and participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server, Windows desktop, VMware and Citrix environments, including server builds and application infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain server environments across hosted, on-premises and cloud environments, and provide advanced troubleshooting for technical escalations and outages.
• Perform proactive system maintenance, support vulnerability and audit remediation, and improve processes to strengthen system performance and reliability.
• Support application deployments, infrastructure changes and multi-tier applications while working with technical and incident management teams to resolve issues.
• Serve as a technical resource for the supported environment, including Active Directory, Exchange, networking protocols and related infrastructure technologies.
