Job summary

F2OnSite is seeking an Onsite Infrastructure Engineer in New York, NY for a contract-to-hire opportunity. The role requires hands-on support for enterprise infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud environments, with immediate contributions expected.

You will work with VMware, Azure, and DR tools, support Windows Server, storage, backup, and CMDB processes, and collaborate with vendors while maintaining configurations in ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of hands‑on enterprise infrastructure engineering experience
• Hands‑on experience with VMware and Windows Server
• Hands‑on experience supporting Microsoft Azure or hybrid‑cloud environments
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery platforms (Zerto, Commvault)
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure issues in live production environments
• Ability to work independently and contribute immediately

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on support for enterprise infrastructure platforms (VMware, Azure, storage, backup, DR)
• Support daily operations of on‑premises and cloud infrastructure environments
• Troubleshoot and remediate infrastructure incidents in production environments
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, refreshes, data center activities, and modernization initiatives
• Support disaster recovery, backup operations, and failover testing
• Work with vendors while retaining direct technical ownership of configurations and fixes
• Follow change, incident, and problem management processes
• Maintain accurate asset and configuration data in ServiceNow CMDB
