National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) is seeking a Systems Administrator I in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on maintaining enterprise systems, applying updates, and ensuring security and reliability across servers, OS, and applications.

The position requires 2+ years in a technical role, strong OS knowledge, and familiarity with virtualization and backup technologies. A hybrid schedule allows for in-office and remote work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS or CS (or equivalent) required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in systems administration or technical support.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise operating systems and administration.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and backup/disaster recovery concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade servers, applications, and systems for reliability and performance.
• Install, configure, and manage operating systems and applications.
• Monitor system security, access, and authentication; enforce policies.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
• Support help desk tickets and assist end users as needed.
• Document configurations, procedures, and security controls.
