Job summary

Texas Southmost College is seeking a Systems Administrator to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware, software, servers, and cloud-based services. You will manage on-premise and cloud environments, system accounts, and access controls to ensure availability and security across IT infrastructure.

You will work under the IT Technical Director and collaborate with multiple IT teams to support essential services and drive operational integrity for college systems.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and managing Active Directory, LDAP and access controls.
• Proficiency with PowerShell for automating system tasks.
• Familiarity with Azure, Exchange/Outlook, and Office 365 tenants.
• Understanding of security best practices and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Configures hardware, software and operating systems to ensure high availability.
• Manages AD/LDAP, MFA and SSO integrations with IT staff.
• Maintains backups and disaster recovery procedures for critical systems.
• Develops and documents standard operating procedures for system administration.
• Supports on-premise and cloud-based applications and monitors performance.
