West Georgia Technical College is seeking a Systems Administrator to plan, implement, and secure its enterprise technology infrastructure. You will oversee servers, storage, networking, communications systems, cloud services, and cybersecurity operations to ensure reliable IT service delivery across the college.

The role emphasizes managing local, hybrid, and cloud environments, configuring access controls, and leading incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science technology or closely related field and 3 years of work experience in design, configuration, and planning of local and/or wide area networks.
• Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage local, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure: servers, networking, and related systems.
• Set up and manage user access and permissions.
• Lead support for server, networking, and application service issues with focus on customer satisfaction.
• Plan and implement college system cybersecurity, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, cryptography, and incident response.
• Set standards for software deployments, OS levels, and patch cycles.
• Maintain inventory for software, servers, and related purchases.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
