Job summary

Ellucian Company L.P. seeks a Systems Administrator for Muskegon Community College to design, deploy, and manage IT systems ensuring reliability, security, and performance. You will work across Windows Server, AD, Hyper-V, Azure, and Cisco Meraki networks.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT teams, security compliance, and proactive problem-solving, with occasional after-hours maintenance as required to support critical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Strong virtualization, networking and security skills.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and SSO/MFA configurations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain a diverse range of systems (Windows Server, AD, DHCP, DNS).
• Manage Hyper-V virtualization and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee database systems (SQL Server) and backup/recovery (Veeam).
• Ensure security, compliance, and regular system audits.
• Provide end-user technical support and training as needed.
• Document configurations, procedures and troubleshooting steps.
• Plan backup and disaster recovery strategies for business continuity.
• Maintain VPN/IPsec tunnels and network connectivity.
• Monitor, alert, and manage Zoom phone system and other tools.
• Support outages with after-hours work when required.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders; mentor team members.
