Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a skilled IT professional to monitor and support multi-disciplinary information systems. You will perform design, testing, backups, and root-cause analysis across production environments, with a focus on improving processes and documentation.

The role requires 4-6 years in IT, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and advanced knowledge of Windows, Windows Server, Office 365, SharePoint and Teams. On-site work in Des Moines area is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4-6 years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and products including Windows, Windows Server, Office365 and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and supports IT systems infrastructures.
• Performs moderately complex analysis planning, designing and evaluating IT tools.
• Backs up user requests for system needs and upgrades or handles complex requests.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems with little to no supervision.
• Implements standards for computer operations and ensures compatibility of hardware and software.
• Administers and tests operating systems and related software.
• Schedules and monitors backups and data recoveries as needed.
• Performs root cause analysis, diagnostics and monitoring of production systems.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implements efficiencies.
• Creates and maintains documentation and user guides.
• Engages in planning and designing new platforms and integrating new technologies.
