Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey seeks a proactive Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our IT infrastructure, focusing on automation, reliability, and cloud deployments. You will support multiple environments and enforce provisioning policies aligned with our mission.

The role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SharePoint, and security tooling, with a track record of delivering reliable IT services and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• System admin certification in Microsoft or CCNA/CCNP/CompTIA A+ preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
• Familiarity with VMware, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Experience with Azure, Office 365, Exchange, and Windows Server.
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN and various servers (mail, file).
• Experience with designing, implementing and managing Active Directory.
• PowerShell scripting experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Occasional travel to other sites.

Responsibilities

• Acts as backup to the Information Systems & Cybersecurity Program Manager.
• Provides user support and troubleshooting.
• Performs account setup and system upgrades after releases.
• Maintains inventory of hardware and software and lifecycle policy.
• Configures and manages Intranet via SharePoint.
• Manages security apps like Office 365 Admin and SharePoint.
• Manages firewall policies with MSP/MSSP.
• Endpoint protection and patching.
• OKTA identity management.
• Oversees IT projects and participants.
• Participates in network and telecom management via MSP.
• Engages in QA activities and meets deadlines.
• Performs other duties.
