Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a System Administrator to support the on-site customer at WPAFB. The role focuses on administering thin clients, managing a 10ZiG Manager server, and ensuring secure, compliant operations within a DoD environment.

Candidates should hold a Security+ and a BS in IT, with experience in VDI platforms (AVD, AWS Workspaces, Horizon) and strong documentation skills for SOPs and design blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering to support ISSO, IO, and Operations.
• Manage and administer 10ZiG Manager and AWS-hosted thin clients.
• Deploy, configure, patch, and maintain OS on thin/zero clients.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and device enrollment.
• Create SOPs and technical design documents.

Requirements

• Work with theengineering team to work cross-functionallyacross theISSO, IO, andOperationsorganization
• Manage and administerThin Clients (AWS Cloud Hosted)
• Deploy, configure, patch, andmaintainthe 10ZiG Manager server instance hosted inside the AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
• Develop, push, and test operating system configurationsto physical thin and zero client hardware devices
• Administer automated security patches, manage SSL/TLS certificates for secure client-to-manager communication, and oversee device enrollment
• Build configurations to repurpose legacy desktop hardware into secure, streamlined thin-client endpoints
• Strong experience working with VDI platforms and thin clients (AVD, AWS, Workspaces, Horizon)

Preferred Experience and Technical Prerequisites

• Experience configuring and operating 10ZiG Manager or equivalent thin-client deployment consoles
• Strong technical communication skills, with experience drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical design blueprints, and system whitepapers
• Documented experience executing STIG checklists and supporting CTO/ATO documentation packages in highly regulated enterprise environments
