Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a System Administrator to support an on-site customer at WPAFB. You will work with the engineering team to manage thin clients, deploy and patch the 10ZiG Manager in the AWS VPC, and configure OS images for thin and zero client devices.

US Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance are required. The role emphasizes secure, well-documented operations, STIG compliance, and collaboration with ISSO, IO, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• BS in Information Technology or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Work with the engineering team to work cross-functionally across the ISSO, IO, and Operations organization.
• Manage and administer Thin Clients (AWS Cloud Hosted).
• Deploy, configure, patch, and maintain the 10ZiG Manager server instance hosted inside the AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
• Develop, push, and test operating system configurations to physical thin and zero client hardware devices.
• Administer automated security patches, manage SSL/TLS certificates for secure client-to-manager communication, and oversee device enrollment.
• Build configurations to repurpose legacy desktop hardware into secure, streamlined thin-client endpoints.
• Strong experience with VDI platforms and thin clients (AVD, AWS, Workspaces, Horizon).

• VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility (VCP-DTM) or Omnissa Horizon credentials

Technical Experience

• Experience configuring and operating 10ZiG Manager or equivalent thin-client deployment consoles
• Strong technical communication skills, with experience drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical design blueprints, and system whitepapers
• Documented experience executing STIG checklists and supporting CTO/ATO documentation packages in highly regulated enterprise environments
