Job summary

Parsons is seeking an IT professional with a strong focus on AWS and VMware to support customers and internal teams across USCYBERCOM-related environments. You will configure, secure, and optimize virtual environments while maintaining RMF accreditation and strong system performance.

The role requires active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph, a bachelor’s degree, and 5+ years of relevant experience, plus excellent communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a IT "jack-of-all-trades" with a focus on AWS and VMware to be a key contributor to our team.You'll interact with and assist customers from various parts of USCYBERCOM. Imagine Next with Parsons!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Configure and support virtual environments including AWS and VMware
• Maintain various operating systems in a variety of users and activities
• Apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards
• Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks
• Test systems and resolve security vulnerabilities
• Participate in the government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system accreditation
• Monitor product performance, conduct capacity planning, and fine-tune system performance
• Respond promptly to emergencies, troubleshoot faults, and implement improvements

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience; additional experience and niche capabilities may be considered in lieu of degree
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification (or higher)
• Strong system troubleshooting and debugging skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with designing, managing and deploying AWS services, including but not limited to EC2 (including Security Groups and Load Balancers), S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch while utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Experience using the AWS CLI, PowerShell, and/or Python, to identify and resolve issues in an AWS environment
• Experience building systems from the ground up - network architecture/systems engineering
• AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) 2012/2016 or related certifications
• Exposure to STIGs/IAVA

Security Clearance Requirement:

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
