Job summary

Parsons is seeking an IT generalist with a focus on AWS and VMware to join our Federal Solutions team. The role requires active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance and involves configuring virtual environments, maintaining diverse OS, and applying cybersecurity practices to meet security standards.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting USCYBERCOM customers, perform RMF-related activities, monitor performance, and respond quickly to issues, with a strong emphasis on safe, secure

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for degree.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification (or higher).
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing:

• Configure and support virtual environments including AWS and VMware
• Maintain various operating systems in a variety of users and activities
• Apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards
• Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks
• Test systems and resolve security vulnerabilities
• Participate in the government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system accreditation
• Monitor product performance, conduct capacity planning, and fine-tune system performance
• Respond promptly to emergencies, troubleshoot faults, and implement improvements

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience; additional experience and niche capabilities may be considered in lieu of degree
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification (or higher)
• Strong system troubleshooting and debugging skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring :

• Experience with designing, managing and deploying AWS services, including but not limited to EC2 (including Security Groups and Load Balancers), S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch while utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Experience using the AWS CLI, PowerShell, and/or Python, to identify and resolve issues in an AWS environment
• Experience building systems from the ground up - network architecture/systems engineering
• AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) 2012/2016 or related certifications
• Exposure to STIGs/IAVA

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
