Parsons is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Federal Solutions team. You will analyze requirements, develop system specifications, and lead integration across hardware and software in a cybersecurity context to protect critical US systems.

You will collaborate in Agile environments, drive verification planning, and document designs while guiding stakeholders on best approaches and feasible solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree with extensive related experience accepted in lieu.
• 15+ years of relevant work experience in systems engineering or cybersecurity.
• Experience in a cybersecurity mission environment with threat intelligence.
• Knowledge management and automation skills for cybersecurity analytics.
• Working knowledge of cloud, containers, APIs, data services, IAM and secure integration.
• Ability to understand AI application dependencies on platform components.
• Ability to translate complex technical issues for mixed technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team!

In this role you will get to support key activities in defense of emerging threats in the cybersecurity domain. You will work as part of a team that develops and tailors capabilities with the goal to prevent and eradicate threats to critical U.S. systems.

What You'll Be Doin g:

• Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements and specifications.
• Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Participate in interface definition, design, and changes throughout project lifecycle. Capture and store all interface designs in a commonly accessible repository.
• Develop lower-level requirements from higher-level requirements that describe in detail the functions a system component must fulfill and ensure these requirements are complete, correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
• In conjunction with system stakeholders, plan verification efforts of new designs early in the development lifecycle to ensure compliance with established requirements.
• Develop technical documentation, system architecture and design documentation.
• Collaborate in agile scrum cycles, contribute to design sessions, conduct periodic reviews of evolving configuration of hardware and software components, and consider design alternatives for system expansion and growth.
• Actively participate in Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) efforts to recommend preferred solutions based on technology limitations, risk, and lifecycle costs.

What Required Skills You'll Brin g:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Bachelors degree, with additional years of experience able to count in lieu of a degree
• 15+ years of experience, with additional education, training, and certifications able to count in lieu of a degree
• Experience working within a cybersecurity mission environment using tools and capabilities to generate threat intelligence. This includes working with cybersecurity analyst teams to perform data analysis and a deep understanding of adversary tradecraft.
• Experience implementing best practices for knowledge management and applying techniques to create automated solutions in support of the cybersecurity analytic mission.
• Working knowledge of cloud architecture, containers, APIs, data services, identity/access management, and secure system integration.
• Ability to understand how AI applications depend on underlying platform components such as model hosting, pipelines, storage, orchestration, and monitoring.
• Able to translate complex technical issues into actionable guidance for mixed technical and non‑technical audiences.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $148,300.00 - $266,900.00
