Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Principal / Lead Systems Engineer to support National Tactical Data Manager, the Over the Horizon - Targeting tool for Warfighting Services.

The role focuses on system analysis, engineering, and collaboration with government partners to ensure secure, integrated solutions. A TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required and the salary range reflects federal contracting expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as an SA in programs similar in scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years additional SA experience may substitute for degree.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and methodologies.
• Strong Linux systems administration and engineering experience; Windows OS familiarity.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Active TS/SCI w/Poly clearance required.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal / Lead Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support National Tactical Data Manager the preeminent Over the Horizon - Targeting tool for all the Warfighting Services!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
• Perform system hardening, patching, and other activities necessary to maintain secure and reliable systems.
• Communicate effectively with program personnel, Government representatives, mission partners, and senior executives
• Collaborate with developers and testers to support software development, system integration, verification, and mission-effect validation.
• Ensure the technical integrity and quality of work products and deliverables within the assigned systems engineering area.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, system architectures, and system design documentation.
• Gather data pertaining to user needs and problems and use the information to identify, predict, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.
• Participate in a weekly rotating after hours on-call team.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and methodologies.
• Strong Linux systems administration and engineering experience. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Active TS/SCI w/Poly is required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently assess a project, identify an effective technical approach, and implement a solution.
• Experience with Keycloak, LDAP, Geoserver, and NIFI.
• Knowledge of tactical data links and related technologies, such as Link 16, IBS, and Cursor-on-Target (CoT).
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
• Ability to support Information Assurance activities

Security Clearance Requirement:
