Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. is seeking a System Specialist, Application & Integration to optimize and deliver WMS processes at DSV Contract Logistics sites.

You will analyze requirements, design and configure WMS solutions, and prepare functional specs for EDI integrations with external partners and DSV Global IT. Travel domestically and internationally, including Europe, to advance project delivery and standardization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 to 5+ years’ experience in a project‑based environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combinations of education and work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document client and business requirements.
  • Design, configure, test, and implement WMS processes.
  • Provide process optimization and improvement proposals based on business requirements.
  • Train key and end users on designed processes and functionalities.
  • Create functional designs for internal and external reports and documents.
  • Develop functional specifications for EDI integrations in cooperation with external parties and DSV Global IT.
  • Track and, when necessary, raise escalations to ensure on‑time delivery of deliverables requested from DSV Global IT.
  • Act as gatekeeper for warehouse process standardization.
  • Provide regular scheduled project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex issues and client cases to provide sensible generic solutions.
  • Write functional specifications based on business requirements for application changes and improvements.
  • Advocate and sell best practices and standardization to internal and external parties.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand and anticipate customer needs for specific projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by management to support special projects, implementations, and process improvements.

Job Summary

DSV Systems Specialists are responsible for the successful optimization and delivery of Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes at DSV Contract Logistics sites. The role delivers functional, technical, and business process expertise within multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring high‑quality, on‑time deliverables.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Computer Skills
  • Proficiency in one or more WMS systems.
  • MS Office Suite.
  • SQL proficiency is a plus.
Other Technical Skills
  • Experience with JDA WMS (dispatcher preferred) or other major WMS products.
  • Experience with functional specifications for EDI integration.
  • Ability to articulate and sell own warehouse process design.
  • Readiness to travel domestically and internationally (including Europe).
Language & Mathematical Skills
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
  • Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, inventory counting, and related duties.
Physical Demands
  • Frequently sitting, bending, walking, standing, lifting/carrying, and pushing/pulling 21–50 pounds.
  • Reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel as necessary.

Pay & Benefits

Expected base pay range: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location.
