Job summary

DSV is seeking a System Specialist-WMS Superuser for the LBJ Freeway/Lancaster area in USA. The role focuses on efficient transmission of information, storage and analysis, installing, maintaining and supporting the facilities computer systems, and providing on-call support as needed.

Responsibilities include primary system support for users, developing tracking tools, collaborating with project teams to improve internal systems, maintaining system efficiency, and generating regular reports.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or two-year degree with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• Experience dealing with end users, vendors, and clients.

• Develops and maintains tracking tools for support service requests and resolutions by location and resource.

• Sun‑Thu 10pm‑7am
• Mon‑Fri 2pm‑11pm

Position Summary

The WMS Super User is responsible for the efficient transmission of information and the storage and analysis of information by means of computer networks and systems, the Internet, and computer databases. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining and supporting the facilities computer systems. The WMS Super User provides general maintenance and system updates on network hardware and software, analyzes problems, and monitors networks to ensure their availability to users. May gather data to evaluate system performance, identify user needs, and determine system and network requirements. May be required to be “on call” outside of normal business hours to resolve system failures or other problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Acts as primary support for the client’s systems solutions for the user community.
• Develops and maintains tracking tools for support service requests and resolutions by location and resource.
• Engages appropriate expert resources when complex support issues arise outside of the WMS-Red Prairie and/or SAP application.
• Works with the company’s team to successfully close support service request issues and support testing activities.
• Works with project teams to help implement, maintain, and improve Internal Systems.
• Ensures company assets are maintained responsibly.
• Communicates relevant IT‑related information to site management and client management.
• Maintains system efficiency, ensuring all components work together correctly.
• Tests and coordinates modifications to the system when needed and troubleshoots problems.
• Maintains communication with corporate IT and operations staff; works with corporate IT to resolve complex issues.
• Determines ways to store, organize, analyze, use, and present data in collaboration with IT.
• Produces regular reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Ensures all RF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current and trains associates on updated SOPs, Microsoft Office, WMS programs, and RF guns.
• Responds to all inquiries about WMS-Red Prairie and/or related computer issues.
• Referred questions to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Provides professional verbal and written communication with all internal and external customers.
• Adheres to professional etiquette standards when communicating with managers, coworkers, customers, and visitors.
• Assists with various research projects and/or special projects.
• Accountable for overseeing manpower, recruiting, retention, and development of people for the operation within their scope of responsibility.
• Ensures procedures exist at all sites to guarantee client service, productivity, and facilities and equipment maintenance.
• Sets goals to provide continuous improvement for assigned site.

Skills & Abilities

Computer Skills

• Mid to Senior Microsoft Office skills.
• Technical knowledge of technologies appropriate to the assigned application or set of applications.
• Experience in the administration and maintenance of infrastructure, software, systems, etc.
• Experience with Red Prairie, RF/RDTs, UNIX, proprietary WMS.
• Wi‑Fi experience / RF systems and equipment experience.

Language Skills

• Interpersonal communication and language skills.
• Facilitation skills and mature communication skills to all levels in the organization.
• Business & financial acumen and analytical skills.

Education & Experience

• Either a four‑year degree in a computer‑related field or a two‑year degree and relevant experience is a basic requirement.
• Minimum of 2 years of job‑related/relevant experience. 3–5 years preferred.
• Experience dealing with end users, vendors, and clients.
• End‑to‑end understanding of business intelligence and all components required to run a BI environment.

Mathematical Skills

• Good mathematical skills.

Other Skills

• Adaptability, integrity, teamwork, change management, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warm and cold months.

Compensation

Expected base pay range: $73,000.00 – $77,000.00.
