Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 2+ years in system safety engineering or related defense role.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical, CS, or related STEM field.
• Practical experience with MIL-STD-882E and related analysis task series.
• Ability to read complex electrical schematics and drawings for hazard identification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety program development.
• Perform safety program tasks across management, analysis, evaluation, and verification.
• Analyze hardware, electrical drawings, and schematics for fault tolerance and safety compliance.
• Review test and operating procedures to ensure proper controls are implemented.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify and eliminate hazards.
• Assist with designing testable safety requirements and Safety Assessment Reports.
• Prepare safety briefs for customer approval and support technical reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
