Job summary

Associates Systems LLC is seeking a Jr/Mid/SR Systems Safety Engineer (DOD Secret) to join our team in Massachusetts. The role entails developing MIL-STD-882E compliant safety programs, performing analyses, and coordinating with hardware, software, and test personnel to mitigate hazards across development teams.

Onsite in Massachusetts with options for contract or full-time W-2, and involvement from program startup through disposal. Interim DOD Secret clearance is a must.

Qualifications

• Experience developing MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs.
• Perform system safety analyses and verification.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and test teams to mitigate hazards.
• Prepare Safety Assessment Reports and briefs for customer approval.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings for fault tolerance and safety compliance.
• Ensure safety controls in system test and ops procedures.
• Design testable safety requirements and analyze existing ones.
• Prepare safety program briefs for customer approval.
• Brief safety at technical reviews and ensure standards compliance.
• Interpret requirements and military standards.
• Prepare reports describing analyses for the system safety program.
• Collaborate across disciplines to understand architecture and design.
