Job summary

Solidus Technical Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented System Safety Engineer for an onsite role in Tewksbury, MA, requiring an active Secret clearance. The successful candidate will support comprehensive safety programs for defense applications, reviewing designs and contributing to safety assessments across lifecycles.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop MIL-STD-882E compliant safety tasks, analyze schematics for hazards, prepare Safety Assessment Reports, and support

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 2 years of system safety engineering or related defense experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM.
• Experience with MIL-STD-882E and its analysis task series.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings for hazard identification.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
• Collaborative team fit.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant safety program.
• Perform MIL-STD-882 program tasks across the 100–400 series.
• Analyze hardware and schematics for fault tolerance and hazards.
• Review procedures to ensure proper administrative controls.
• Collaborate across teams to identify hazards and propose solutions.
• Prepare Safety Assessment Reports and briefs for customers.
• Support safety data presentations at technical reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
