Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a System Quality and Safety Manager to support the QAPI and safety program across the Path/Lab ICCE system-wide. The role collects and analyzes quality data, benchmarks performance, and leads multidisciplinary teams to drive improvements aligned with goals.

Responsibilities include supporting regulatory and accreditation processes for pathology and laboratory sites, monitoring trends, and facilitating KPI implementation system-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related medical or scientific discipline; Associate degree with CLIA requirements for technical oversight.
• 5+ years related work experience or a Master's Degree with 3+ years related work experience.
• Certification: ASCP BOC or AMT MLS; CP HQ certification preferred; Lean Six Sigma experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collect relevant quality data, analyze and assess data.
• Disseminate data and information to stakeholders; benchmark performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to improve performance based on goals.
• Support QAPI and regulatory/accreditation activities for hospital and ambulatory laboratory spaces.
