Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Quality/Safety Director for Path/Lab ICCE to oversee QAPI and safety initiatives across the system. You will collect data, benchmark performance, and lead multidisciplinary teams to drive improvements, reporting to governance bodies.

The role requires a healthcare-related master’s or a bachelor’s with substantial experience, and preferred certification in healthcare quality or patient safety.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred with at least 5 years’ experience in a healthcare quality/safety program
• Experience in pathology and laboratory services required
• Certification as Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Patient Safety preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to improve QAPI performance across Path/Lab ICCE
• Manage all QAPI and regulatory/accreditation activities
• Collect, analyze and present performance data to oversight groups
