Job summary

St. Luke's Health System seeks a System Medical Director to lead our Acute Care Service Line across eight hospitals, guiding strategy, program development, and performance improvement. The role supports access, quality, safety, experience, and cost-of-care across the system while maintaining a part-time clinical practice.

The SMD will lead physicians and APPs, drive best-practice care models, and collaborate with operational leaders to align resources and outcomes with the system's vision.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in relevant specialty.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the prescribing state.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a part-time clinical practice.
• Lead physicians and APPs to adopt care models that improve outcomes and reduce cost.
• Develop and execute service line vision and strategy.
• Drive performance across safety, experience, operations and finance.
