Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a System Manager to serve as the primary daily operational link for a federal customer’s Office of Information Systems. You will drive maintenance execution and coordinate with local service partners to sustain optimal LMR system uptime across the National Capital Region and beyond.

The role requires strong communication, a basic technical background, and a willingness to learn P25 systems and CJIS-compliant procedures.

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic technical background with willingness to learn P25 radio systems, patching workflows, and R56 standards.
Experience downloading software packages and transferring files securely.
Familiarity with crisis management and public safety operational environments.
US citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations to fulfill SLA terms and metrics for G Series infrastructure and APX subsystems.
Pull and analyze reports from the Unified Event Monitoring (UEM) platform for system events.
Direct emergency restoration efforts and manage multi-tier escalation during outages.
Coordinate with Motorola technical teams to report issues and open support cases.
Oversee patch management and fleet logistics for APX units and field equipment.
Compile weekly/monthly service reports and maintain records in corporate portals and CRM tools.
