Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Group, seeks a System Executive Chef to lead culinary operations across six hospital locations. The role requires hands-on leadership, travel between sites, and close collaboration with the Virtua Corporate Office to implement culinary standards and initiatives.

You will oversee menu development, sanitation, patient and cafeteria dining experiences, and cost management while driving innovation and quality across all locations.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent culinary experience preferred.
• Significant experience in healthcare, hospitality, contract foodservice, or multi-unit culinary operations.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, culinary standards, menu development, and cost controls.
• Demonstrated experience leading chefs and culinary teams across multiple locations.
• Strong communication, coaching, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel weekly between hospital locations.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard foodservice technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight across six hospital locations.
• Lead culinary innovation, menu development, and standardization efforts.
• Manage food costs and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with hospital administrators, nursing staff, and corporate leadership.
• Lead and develop hospital chefs and culinary teams.
• Maintain system-wide culinary standards in partnership with the Standardization Manager.
