Job summary

Wyetech, LLC seeks a System Engineer Level 0 to support remote maintenance and refresh efforts across eight sites. This role involves hands-on system administration, troubleshooting, software deployment, and data-flow validation, collaborating with partner entities and SMEs to maintain operational capabilities.

The engineer will use Linux and Ciena to configure networks, load software, and validate data flows while coordinating with SMEs and government stakeholders as needed across multiple

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Ciena for telecom network configuration.
• Experience with Apache NiFi.
• Knowledge of telecom networks, cables, and collection systems.
• Understanding of end-to-end data flow and system functionality.
• Ability to perform remote maintenance across multiple sites.
• Experience loading, configuring, updating, and troubleshooting software.
• Ability to validate data after deployments.
• Ability to identify data-flow path issues and submit DMRs.
• Ability to engage SMEs and partner organizations.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote maintenance and refresh efforts for eight sites.
• Interact daily with partner entities to coordinate activities.
• Support system administration and troubleshooting using Linux and Ciena.
• Load and configure software and telecom network components.
• Support and troubleshoot collection systems and data flows.
• Engage SMEs to resolve technical issues.
• Perform data validation after deployments.
• Submit DMRs for data-flow issues and fixes.
• Configure and deploy new software updates.
• Troubleshoot system, software, network, and data-flow issues.
• Analyze requirements and develop system requirements specifications.
• Support design and development activities.
• Guide users in evaluating approaches and conducting feasibility studies.
• Integrate requirements, design, and technology into operations.
