Job summary

The QTI Group is partnering with a Milwaukee-area MSP to hire their next Systems Engineer. This role blends advanced infrastructure design, hands-on support, and client relationship management to serve clients across the greater Milwaukee area.

The Systems Engineer will act as a trusted technical advisor, leading infrastructure projects and cloud initiatives while communicating effectively with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT infrastructure experience, MSP or consulting environment preferred.
• Strong technical proficiency in Windows Servers/Desktops, Microsoft / Azure, VPN and VLAN and network switches.
• Hands-on experience utilizing virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper‑V).
• Strong documentation, time management and client communication skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical lead for assigned clients, managing their IT environment.
• Design, configure and maintain infrastructure components, including servers, networks, firewalls and more.
• Implement and support cloud services in Azure, M365 and SharePoint.
• Perform server migrations, visualization deployments and network upgrades – both on-site and cloud environments.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support to Helpdesk teams, managing escalated tickets.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to perform Strategic Business Reviews with clients.

This role blends advanced infrastructure design, hands-on support, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge as well as the ability to effectively communicate with clients throughout the greater Milwaukee area.
