Job summary

Saint Francis Health System Linen Services is seeking a System Director of Laundry and Linen Services to oversee all laundry operations across the health system, ensuring the highest cleanliness and sanitary standards. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree with preferred ALM certification and at least 5 years of leadership in healthcare laundry.

You will direct budgeting, inventory, vendor relations, and safety training, while leading process improvements and KPI-driven performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferred ALM certification.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial or healthcare laundry leadership.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation and cleanliness standards.
• Experience with ERP, MS Office, and linen management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Direct laundry and linen services across health system facilities.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures.
• Manage inventory of linen, supplies, and equipment.
• Oversee purchasing via GPO and capital equipment.
• Develop maintenance programs and safety training.
• Monitor KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage transportation and logistics for linen services.
• Prepare and analyze reports for leadership.
• Recruit, hire, and evaluate staff; HR tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, TJC, HLAC guidelines.
