Qualifications

• Associates degree required in Institutional Management or related field.
• Supervisory/managerial abilities to direct activities of service staff.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of hospital personnel.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals and objectives for Environmental Services, Laundry and Linen.
• Model corporate values and ensure quality customer service.
• Communicate effectively with staff and management to empower careers.
• Establish and maintain work standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Develop new procedures for equipment use and update existing ones.
• Evaluate staff performance and counsel as needed.
• Schedule personnel and assign work tasks.
• Conduct performance appraisals and report to Director.
• Lead meetings to share policy updates and job-related information.
• Assist with selection and training of supervisory staff.
• Consult with vendors and evaluate new products and services.
• Ensure housekeeping services meet department needs across hospital departments.

Education
