Job summary

Hoosier Energy in Indiana seeks an experienced Training Specialist for System Control Services to develop and deliver comprehensive training for operators handling the Bulk Electric System. You will design materials, simulate procedures, and ensure adherence to NERC PER standards while coordinating scheduling and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/electronic disciplines.
• NERC Certified System Operator certificate required.
• 8 years of progressively responsible experience in generation and transmission operations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Administers the training program for System Control Services personnel responsible for direct operation of Hoosier Energy’s Bulk Electric system.
• Develops and implements training material and tools, including operator training simulator.
• Reviews logs and ensures compliance with NERC/Regional Reliability Standards.
• Develops and reviews switching instructions and operational guides.
• Supports coverage during short staffing and accentuates effective system operation.
• Represents Hoosier Energy during compliance audits and related activities.
