Hoosier Energy seeks an experienced professional to develop and implement training for System Control Services personnel operating the Bulk Electric System. The role supports guideline development, switching procedures, and regulatory compliance, ensuring effective system operation.

The incumbent will lead training initiatives, collaborate with senior staff, and manage access to critical third-party interfaces while contributing to energy accounting and audit readiness.

Formación

• 8 years of progressively more responsible experience in generation and transmission operations or in power system control.
• NERC Certified System Operator certificate required.
• Knowledge of NERC PER standards and system control procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Administers the training program for System Control Services personnel responsible for Hoosier Energy's portion of the Bulk Electric system as required by NERC.
• In collaboration with Lead System Control Supervisor, Transmission System Operations Engineer, and Coordinator Outage Planning & Operations Applications, activities include program development, delivery of training material or sessions, development and implementation of training materials and tools, including operator training simulator, schedule training program activities, review NERC Operator credential tracking program.
• Assures compliance with NERC/Regional Reliability Standards applicable with the System Control activities, including reviewing logs and capturing evidence or abnormal operating events.
• Develops and reviews switching instructions, coordinates and maintains database of switching records.
• Develops and reviews operational guides for System Control Supervisors.
• Fulfills System Control Supervisors' duties as needed during times of short staffing levels, ensuring continuous coverage and effective management of system operations.
• Manages certificates for access to third party web interfaces critical to the operation and visibility of the MISO footprint; reviews data and submits reports to support these systems and other MISO portal activities.
• Oversees the daily interchange checkout, audits for data, and updates necessary changes in Energy Accounting.
• Represents Hoosier Energy during compliance audits for designated standards.
