Job summary

Entergy is seeking a System Operations Training Specialist (Control Center Training) to develop and administer NERC Certification training for Transmission Control Center operators. The role is based onsite in Mississippi with potential assignment in Arkansas.

The position requires extensive experience in system operations and a NERC System Operator Certification, with safety-sensitive pre-employment and random drug testing. Onsite work and travel up to 25% are possible.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent or related work experience.
• 10+ years system operations or transmission operations experience, or 5 years experience with BS or equivalent degree.
• NERC System Operator Certification may be obtained after hiring.
• This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer training to TCC Operators in accordance with the organization’s Systematic Approach to Training.
• Work with Operations Management to develop annual training plans.
• Work with Line Management on projects that impact operator responsibility, tasks and tools used by the training department and the operators.
• Administer operator qualifications and modify tasks as needed while ensuring PER-005 compliance.
• Participate in NERC, SERC and MISO committees that are focused on training.
