Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a System Architect to join a small, agile team focused on developing architecture concepts and system requirements for the Nova launch system. You will translate customer objectives into feasible technical concepts and perform first-order analyses to support rapid decision-making.

In collaboration with product teams, you will help implement architectures in hardware, learn from integrated testing and flight operations, and drive continuous improvements while staying

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or similar field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience on a complex product.
• Strong fundamentals in aerospace structures, mechanisms, propulsion, avionics, software, or flight dynamics.
• Ability to understand and apply fundamentals for first-order analysis across disciplines.
• Ability to lead and follow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual system architecture, ConOps, and functional capabilities meeting customer and business objectives.
• Define system requirements, product breakdown, and lower-level decompositions.
• Perform first-order analyses and generate estimations of system and component performance.
• Define system-level approaches to reliability, margins, and incremental development.
• Support architecture through design, integration, test, and operations across lifecycle.
• Provide cross-system technical insight to mitigate risks.
