Job summary

Stoke Space is hiring an Avionics - Stage Integration and Test Engineer for the Nova launch vehicle. You will architect, integrate, test, and launch avionics flight hardware, coordinating with design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure readiness for first flight.

Responsibilities include developing harnesses, integration plans, and CI test objectives, plus on-console support at test sites. Strong electrical, mechanical, and software interfacing is required.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in electrical engineering or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • 5+ years experience designing, building, or testing electrical systems/electronics (research and extracurricular projects qualify).
  • Experience with integration, test, or operations of complex multidisciplinary systems such as launch vehicles, satellites, aircraft, or automotive.
  • Experience developing electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with automated test sequences and lab equipment for development testing of circuits and components.

Responsibilities

  • Own integrated avionics systems from design to flight.
  • Develop system and harness schematics, equipment lists, integration and test plans with peer teams.
  • Facilitate hardware-in-the-loop test solutions for validation and CI objectives.
  • Understand mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces to integrate and operate the launch vehicle.
  • Own system-level integration schedules and delivery targets.
  • Troubleshoot electrical hardware issues and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Develop day-of-flight procedures for charging, health checks, and launch.
  • Support integrated stage and hot-fire testing at Moses Lake and Cape Canaveral.
  • Serve as on-console avionics support for tests and operations.
