Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst to own the structural integrity of a Nova launch vehicle module or subsystem. You will lead cross-engineering analysis efforts and mentor a team, translating system requirements to component designers.

The role emphasizes developing analysis models, ensuring consistent processes, and driving testing plans while identifying risks for leadership. ITAR and other aerospace requirements apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7–10 years of experience analyzing launch vehicles, rocket engines, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid structural mechanics fundamentals including static strength, stability, fatigue, and fracture.
  • Experience with ANSYS or NASTRAN.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools (Python or MATLAB).
  • Experience interpreting and verifying against structural requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the structural integrity of a module or subsystem of the Nova launch vehicle.
  • Lead and coordinate structural analysis efforts across multiple engineers.
  • Mentor and support a team of engineers in structural integrity.
  • Translate system-level structural requirements to component designers.
  • Develop methods and tools to support the module team.
  • Develop analysis models and load cases for stakeholders.
  • Identify required structural testing and participate in validation testing.
  • Communicate risks to leadership.
