Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst to own structural integrity for Nova vehicle modules. You will lead cross‑engineer analysis, mentor REs in structural integrity, and translate system requirements to designers.

You will develop models, tests, and robust analysis processes while collaborating across teams to ensure safety and reliability. The role emphasizes mission‑driven teamwork, ownership, and growth in a fast‑paced aerospace environment with equity and comprehensive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience analyzing launch vehicles, rocket engines, or related work.
  • Solid structural mechanics fundamentals: static strength, stability, fatigue, fracture.
  • Experience with ANSYS or NASTRAN for analysis.
  • Experience with scripting to improve analysis workflows (Python or MATLAB).
  • Ability to interpret and verify structural requirements, and communicate clearly.
  • Collaborative mindset with mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the structural integrity of a module or subsystem of the Nova launch vehicle.
  • Lead and coordinate structural analysis efforts across multiple engineers.
  • Mentor and support a team of REs in structural integrity.
  • Translate system level requirements to component designers.
  • Drive consistent structural analysis and test processes across your module.
  • Develop methods and tools to support the module team.
  • Develop loads, models, and test plans; participate in validation testing.
  • Provide technical review and approval authority for stress work.
  • Identify risks and communicate to leadership.
