Job summary

Stoke Space in the United States seeks a System Architect to join a small, agile team developing architecture concepts and system requirements for the Nova launch system. You translate customer objectives into feasible technical concepts and perform first-order analyses across disciplines to estimate mass, power, and cost.

You will support implementation in hardware, learn from testing and flight operations, and help drive architecture improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience on a high-performance product.
• Expertise in aerospace structures, mechanisms, propulsion, avionics, software, or flight dynamics.
• Ability to perform first-order analysis across disciplines.
• Ability to move quickly in uncertain environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lead and follow.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual system architecture and ConOps meeting customer and business objectives.
• Define system requirements and decompose into products.
• Perform first-order analyses and estimate performance with limited information.
• Maintain reliability and performance margins across lifecycle.
• Support architecture through full lifecycle including design, integration, test, and operations.
• Provide cross-system technical insight to mitigate risks.
