Job summary

Molex's Copper Solutions Business Unit is expanding its Enterprise Solutions team and seeks a System Applications engineer who can bridge customer concepts with manufacturable interconnect solutions. You will engage with hyperscale and networking customers to translate early system ideas into practical architectures.

You will work from system level, creating wire, rack, and chassis level designs, collaborating with sales, product development, and manufacturing, and providing CAD-based concepts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in system-level engineering for networking hardware.
• Experience interfacing with customers.
• Working knowledge of electrical, signal integrity, and thermal constraints.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype application-specific solutions bridging R&D and customers.
• Lead hands-on implementation, pilot deployments, and training.
• Coordinate with Global Sales, Product Development Engineering, Project Management, and manufacturing for design transfers.
• Translate early architectural concepts into feasible Molex system-level architectures.
• Develop system architectures integrating components across rack level, chassis level, and emerging cable based systems.
• Account for electrical, thermal, and signal integrity constraints.
• Provide mechanical design concepts using CAD.
