Job summary

Molex's Copper Solutions Business Unit is hiring a System Applications Engineer in Harrisburg, PA. The ideal candidate will bridge customer concepts with manufacturable high-performance interconnect solutions, working closely with major customers in the networking industry. Responsibilities include designing innovative solutions, collaborating with R&D, and providing mechanical design concepts using CAD. A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience are required, with a salary range of $110,000 - $160,000 per year and robust benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Relevant engineering experience in system level, applications, or product architecture.
• Experience directly interfacing with customers.
• Basic understanding of electrical, signal integrity, and thermal design constraints.
• Ability to visualize and design concepts from abstract customer inputs.
• Experience in 2D/3D CAD design tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical bridge between R&D and customers by designing and prototyping solutions.
• Communicate with internal groups to ensure successful design transfers.
• Work with customers to interpret architectural concepts and translate them into solutions.
• Develop system architectures that integrate Molex components.
• Account for electrical and thermal constraints in mechanical concepts.
• Participate in customer meetings and internal reviews.
• Provide mechanical design concepts using CAD.
