Job summary

Molex seeks a System Applications engineer to bridge customer concepts with manufacturable, high-performance interconnect solutions. You will engage directly with hyperscale and networking customers to translate early system ideas into practical mechanical and interconnect architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in system-level, applications, product architecture, or hardware development in networking.
• Experience interfacing with customers and translating concepts to architecture.
• Familiarity with electrical, thermal, and signal integrity constraints.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype application-specific, innovative solutions bridging R&D and customers.
• Lead hands-on implementation, pilot deployments, and customer enablement.
• Collaborate with Global Sales, Product Development, and manufacturing for design transfers.
• Translate early concepts into feasible system-level architectures for rack and chassis.
• Develop system architectures integrating Molex components across levels.
• Provide CAD-based mechanical design concepts and drawings.
