  • Work with customers to interpret early architectural concepts, white board sketches, and block diagrams, and translate them into feasible Molex system level solutions.
  • Develop system architectures that integrate Molex components across rack level, chassis level, and emerging cable based systems.
  • Account for electrical, thermal, and signal integrity constraints when proposing mechanical concepts.
  • Participate in customer meetings, internal reviews, and site visits requiring both in person and virtual collaboration.
  • Provide mechanical design concepts using CAD.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering degree or related technical discipline.
  • Relevant engineering experience in system level, applications, product architecture, or hardware development in networking industry.
  • Experience directly interfacing with customers.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, signal integrity, and thermal design constraints.
  • Ability to visualize and design concepts from abstract customer inputs.
  • Experience in 2D/3D CAD design tools.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience in NX.
  • Experience in networking industry within hyperscalers, CMS, ODM, OEMs, or similar environments in electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience with rack level and chassis level design and system integration.
  • Background with cable midplanes, backplanes, cable trays, and cable routing for high speed interconnect systems.
